Where To Find Debt Management Advice
Many companies and organisations offer debt management advice online, by telephone or face to face.
They are not their to judge how someone handles their money, but to give independent advice aimed at helping them deal with their financial problems.
Borrowers with debt problems can speak to these advisers in confidence about their difficulties and work with them to find a solution.
If you are discussing your debts with one of these advisers, don't forget to check if they are going to charge you a fee for negotiating with creditors or handling a debt management plan.

What's the difference between free and paid for debt advice?
Not a lot really. Both types of advisers work to the same guidelines to calculate disposable income.
The main difference is paying a fee for debt management advice may reduce a debtors available income to repay any money owed, and this could lead to settling the debt taking a longer time.
